Mrs P suffered with periodontal disease that was inadequately diagnosed and treated by two Defendants. They failed to perform simple diagnostic tests such as capturing radiographs and taking basic chart measurements.
This continued over 4 years, with no treatment plan being devised to treat the periodontal disease by either of the Defendants, resulting in the accelerated loss of Mrs P’s dentition by 15 years. Mrs P experienced pain, discomfort and intermittent infections as a result.
This was a successful matter, with damages awarded to Mrs P that can be used to fund the corrective implant-based protheses treatment required to replace the early loss of teeth.
